Our Expert Tutors

 Ed graduated in 2017 from Trinity Grammar with an ATAR score of 96.65, with five 40+ scores out of his six subjects. He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Melbourne University. His area of expertise is English and other writing-based VCE subjects, which has allowed him to gain a thorough understanding of the craft of essay writing. Academic success did not come naturally to him, and as a result he understands the struggle of studying effectively. His tutoring style and philosophy emphasises positivity, empathy, and enjoyment, which he believes is key to academic success in the high pressure environment that is VCE. 

Michael has been teaching Legal Studies and History to VCE students for the past eight years. Currently a Head of Humanities, he has a passion for his subjects which he hopes to pass on to my students. He has a focus on both academic achievement and character development as he believes in a form of education that aims to improve his students holistically. With years of experience as an assessor for VCAA and marking exams for private companies in the VCE space, he has a detailed knowledge of what to focus on when it comes to getting results in the current study designs of his subjects Legal Studies and History Revolutions. He looks forward to getting to know his students and am glad that his passion for education has made a mark on so many lives. 

 Zoi is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Monash University. With a strong academic background, having been named Dux in English and Business Management, Zoi is passionate about helping students feel confident and supported in their studies. She’s especially excited to share her love of learning – motivating students to not only succeed but also develop a genuine appreciation for their studies along the way. Her flexible, student-focused approach means each lesson is tailored to individual needs, learning styles, and goals. 

Milo completed an undergraduate Arts degree with a double major in History and Philosophy, specialising in Ancient Civilisations. He is currently in the final year of his Master of Teaching, focusing on History, averaging a weighted average mark (WAM) of 98. Milo has completed several teaching placements teaching “Ancient History” including being selected by Monash University to travel to Italy, teaching within a renowned high school, Ancient History & Philosophy to students. 

His teaching philosophy involves supporting what students learn in their classroom, augmenting their writing and thinking skills with the aim of having them feel prepared and unstressed after each session.

Eliz has recently graduated from a Master of Arts in Writing and Literature from Deakin University. She is a passionate writer and mentor, having taught creative writing extensively to small classes of students. She loves to write in the magical realism genre and is currently writing her first novel. Eliz also loves to spend her days reading next to her grumpy cat Zelda, being in nature and taking long hikes. 

  Tiran is a Mathematics and English tutor for years 7-10, having graduated in 2024 and now studying engineering and commerce at Monash University. Having been in a SEAL program at high school, Tiran understands the challenges that students who aren't yet doing VCE can face. He values having an open-minded approach to tutoring, being adaptable as possible so that each student's preferences are met. Tiran has been a volunteer tutor at his high school, tutoring year 10 and 11 students in Maths so he is well aware of the obstacles students often encounter in such a subject. With an emphasis on building study habits as well, he aims to create an impact on all students' academic journey.  

Sharllene graduated high school in 2022 from Strathmore Secondary College. By earning an Academic Excellence Award for Global Politics, Literature Dux, and also completing the extension program at the University of Melbourne, she has invaluable experience within the academic world. Currently studying a Double Degree in Criminology & English Literature at the University of Melbourne, she has a truly crafted speciality in English and the humanities. Sharllene has a strong deep passion for the Arts — constantly learning, growing & sharing her knowledge through teaching.  

 Lily graduated from Williamstown High School in 2023 with an ATAR score of 98.70 with a raw 42 in English Language. She has a particular appreciation and fascination regarding words and language that she'd like to ignite in other students. She also focuses on building critical skills for exams and assignments (not limited to only academic skills, but also managing one's thoughts and emotions in academic contexts). She emphasises developing strong and healthy study habits that work for you and will work flexibly to adapt to each student's needs. Lily studies Criminology at the University of Melbourne and in her spare time plays video games, draws, sings, and on semi-rare occasions attempts to teach herself figure skating. In her view, life is about the feelings of accomplishment from learning and developing skills over time, especially in spite of the obstacles life throws in one's way. 

Ella is currently studying a Bachelor of International Studies at RMIT, majoring in Global Politics. She graduated high school in 2024 with a 90+ ATAR. Ella has a deep interest in Politics, English and History, and always excelled in humanities subjects at school. Ella did a VCE subject early so she understands the importance of being prepared and constantly on top of work in the senior years of high school, and so she prioritises that in her studies. She has two cats and her hobbies include collecting and listening to music, playing netball and hanging out with her friends.   

Ellis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Canberra and tutors the subject at a high school level. He believes psychology is incredibly relevant to everyday life and aims to break down complex terms in a simple fashion. When teaching he also likes to use analogies to break concepts down into simpler ideas. He adapts his tutoring style to fit the individual needs of each student.

Mina graduated from Mercy College in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.40 She received study scores of 49 in Legal Studies, 49 in English (EAL), 46 in Psychology, 41 in Chemistry and 40 in Biology. She loves facing new challenges and helping students tap into their true potential by helping them develop a more in-depth understanding of the content and directing their attention to finer details that can maximise their performance and showcase their hard work.

 As a fluent speaker of both English and Chinese, Amanda brings a unique perspective to language learning, helping students bridge cultural and linguistic gaps with confidence. Having graduated from Presbyterian Ladies College (PLC) in 2024, as an A-grade student throughout her school years, she understands the challenges of academic success and strives to make learning an engaging and rewarding experience. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her dog and performing new pieces on her piano. She is currently pursuing a double degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education and Arts at Monash University, She is deeply passionate about teaching English. She believes that mastering language is more than just following rules—it’s about expressing ideas clearly, thinking critically, and connecting with the world. 

Sayumi is currently studying Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Science, majoring in psychology  at Monash University. She graduated from Haileybury Girls College in 2022 and received a study score of 49 in English and 44 in psychology. She prioritises adapting her tutoring style to each student and focuses on providing an in-depth understanding that is tailored to the exam structure so students can achieve the best results.  

 Nanditha graduated in 2020 with a 90+ ATAR, excelling across a diverse selection of subjects in Science, Mathematics, and Business Studies. Her achievements in VCE Business Management and Economics were particularly noteworthy, earning her Subject Awards for the highest performance in both disciplines among her peers. Currently, she is pursuing a double degree in Environmental Engineering and Commerce at Monash University. Her passion for Business Management stems from her fascination with the dynamic world of business and the underlying theories that drive it. What truly captivated her was the ability to connect academic concepts to real-world applications and case studies—a skill she considers vital in understanding and mastering the subject.
